Another Bump to Baby finished up… * insert sad face here * I am truly blessed to watch these babies grow, and flourish. However I am always beyond gutted when it reaches their one-year session.
One-year sessions can be as plain & simple as you would like or we can go all fancy pancy with full decorations, personalised banners & a cake to smash up. What better way to celebrate the first year of your amazing life than smashing up a cake and making a giant mess? I’m 26 and I’d love someone to place me in front of a cake I could tear into for my birthday.
Coral first got in touch with me when Frankie was a little bean in her tummy & a complete secret to the world. We did a Baby announcement with big sister Layla… full super hero theme. Superhero backdrop, costume & a sign telling the world her exciting news.
Next up a few months later was corals maternity session, I always recommend around 34 weeks for a maternity session. This is a good time before you get too big & uncomfortable; we started in the studio before heading to Eithie Woods. Layla really was bursting with excitement to meet her new sibling. Hoping & wishing he wouldn’t take too long to arrive.
Frankie P… a gorgeous little bundle of joy. He was an angel at his newborn session and slept the whole way through. We did sibling shots & solo shots. Layla being the doting big sister helped me the whole way through the session, choosing which colour of wraps to use & different hats from my huge collection. This was one very very loved little boy.
And then within a blink of an eye Frankie could sit & was ready for his sitter session. Again he was a dream to photograph; there was no keeping the smile off of his face. We stayed in the studio for this & again captured both sibling shots and solo ones. At the viewing for Frankie’s Sitter session (after a difficult time choosing their favourite images) his Mummy told me her Cake Smash idea & I was super EXCITED!!
Fast forward to last month… I had Coral, Corey, Layla & Frankie back in for the last session of his Bump to Baby Package. The CAKE SMASH!! I work with a local cake maker; Laura’s Beautiful Bakes and Coral wanted to go back to the announcement theme & do superhero. Both Laura & myself were super excited for this & couldn’t wait for it all to come together. I think this is one of my favourite Cake Smash sessions yet… let me know what you think in the comments!!
