Last month I put a model call out on my Facebook page… I do this regularly when I have a crazy idea. So do keep your eyes peeled for that. A long long long time ago I did a couple of paint sessions but they never came to anything as it was before I had the studio and a pain in the bum to clean up in my parents house. HOWEVER now I have a full studio space that I can make as much mess as I like in… I just also have the unfortunate job of cleaning that up haha, I just tell myself the memories are worth it!!
I nipped to Hobby Craft, purchased some child friendly paint, lots of paintbrushes, Canvas’ and was ready to go. Who knew kids paintbrushes came in so many different sizes and colours? With 4 Willing little models booked in & the materials purchased I was buzzing for the idea to come together while keeping my fingers crossed it would turn out as good as how it looked in my head.
I wanted each model call to have a different ‘theme’ so I put together a rainbow theme using every colour I purchased, a pink theme, a blue theme & then a pink and purple. I didn’t quite think the rainbow theme through… when you mix all colours together what do you get? BROWN. I obviously forgot primary school art for a minute BUUUUUT the photos from little Ezra’s Rainbow Paint Session are super super cute and thank goodness it doesn’t look like he has had a messy nappy.

Included in your paint session is evvvvvverything. All you need to bring is a small happy child who can sit unaided and a plain white vest for them to cover in your choice of paint. I seriously did buy every colour Hobby Craft had so there is no colour of paint I do not have. Your paint wishes are my command.

Details, details, details… off course like all my sessions I focus on the details as much as the overall set up. Those little fingers & toes do not stay little for long, let me capture them curled up & covered in paint. The funny way they hold the paintbrush, and then cover their face in paint trying to eat it, because everything goes in the mouth right?

I suggest you bring either a pair of pyjamas you can wrap them up in & then home for a shower, or lots of patience while we clean them off with hundreds of wipes. Those little fingers & toes are going to get very very very messy!

The best part about the Paint session is when you come to view your images around 2 weeks after the session, you get the fully dried Canvas ready to take home & hang. I love the idea of hanging the canvas next to the complimentary print on your wall for everyone to see exactly how your little toot did the painting & then the final result beside it.
Lets make some mess, memories & a beautiful canvas together, capturing every second. Message me now & lets book your gem in.
